Rubber buffings
Rubber buffings are small pieces of rubber created by ‘buffing’ the tread of used rubber truck and bus tyres (‘retreading’). VS Rubber Recycling processes this rubber waste into a suitable semi-finished product for products that require damping and cushioning. Our buffings contain a high percentage of Natural Rubber and is therefore ideally suited for devulcanisation.
This is how we proces rubber buffings
We extract rubber scraps from truck & bus tyres from the retreading industry and proces them. Before our production process starts, we first make a proper material mix with a front-end loader. Then we feed the material to the production process via a hopper. There, we first remove the metal from the rubber by using several magnets. Then the rubber buffings enter huge tumbling sieves, which sieves the rubber buffings into various sizes. The final processing steps contain of removing other polution such as stones, plastic, paper and wood. Finally we transport the buffings into large bulk bins or in big bags.
